Privacy Policy

Checkmutt is made for kids, so we keep it simple: we don't collect personal information from anyone, children or grown-ups.
The Checkmutt app (iPhone and iPad)
- No accounts, no sign-in, no names, no email addresses.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party code of any kind.
- Your progress (solved cases, paws, streaks, settings) is saved only on your device. It is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
- The Daily Case is worked out on your device from the date. The app does not need the internet to play.
- The optional "Full Case File" purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see payment details. Purchases and links to this website are behind a grown-up check.
This website
- No accounts, no ads, no cookies, and no analytics or tracking.
- Puzzle progress on this site is saved only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.
- Like any website, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the service secure. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts. We don't use this information to identify anyone.
Children's privacy
Because we don't collect personal information, there is nothing for a child to share with us through the app or the site. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category rules.
